Shelly and Kelly Creators Damion Pohl and Randy Bonk Producers Melanie Windle, Damion Pohl and Randy Bonk  Shelly and Kelly is an animated TV series geared towards preschool-aged children about an unlikely friendship between a Great White Shark and a Killer Whale, named SHELLY and KELLY. These two young females embark on investigative adventures where they solve the mysteries that their inquisitive minds draw them to. Story/ Show Arc Throughout the series Shelly and Kelly learn about friendship, loyalty, trust, overcoming fears, honesty, being different, their environment, teamwork, sharing, listening and remembering, not to tease, eating well, size doesn’t matter, beauty is on the inside, fairplay, sacrifice, and acceptance. The playful songs sung by Stevie’s band help to reinforce the new lessons while inspiring the children to sing and dance along with the characters.
With a little help from their Friends Shelly and Kelly get lots of help from other sea creatures as they try to answer the riddles of the sea. TERRY, a 100 year-old sea turtle, is as elusive as he is wise. Appearing and disappearing in a moment, Terry brings with him clues to the toughest mysteries. STEVIE STARFISH, a talented wiz on the keyboards seems to always know how to lead the way in clever song and melody. Stevie’s dedicated back up band features THE TURTLE TWINS- inseparable bongo players and mischief-makers and OLI OCTOPUS- the alarmist whistle blower. But not everyone is happy, EELI is a lonely electric eel who hides in the rocks because it’s not easy being different. Shelly and Kelly understand his malaise: they both have a hard time making friends because everyone is scared of them.
Short Stories These short interstitials have a 3-5 minute run time with each episode featuring a new lesson learned by Shelly and Kelly and a song to sing and dance to. The Look Animated in HD, Shelly and Kelly’s world is drawn in vibrant primary colours and simple shapes. The animation style is intended to keep young minds focused and listening to the simple stories, while being entertained by the broad characters, and catchy songs. Shelly and Kelly - Behind the Fins SHELLY is a Great White Shark. She is a loner who never sleeps and wishes she had more friends. Shelly is embarrassed by her crooked teeth and acts impulsively whenever she encounters something new. Shelly is naive and is easily distratced by her constant appetite. She loves learning and solving mysteries with Kelly. KELLY is a Killer Whale. Unlike Shelly, she lives in a pod with other Orcas, and seems to know more about how things work than Shelly does. Happy and athletic, she loves to jump out of the water, and breathe fresh air above the sea. Smart and curious, she gets into tight spots following her sleuthing instincts and relies on Shelly to help her find the solution. She also wishes she had more friends and is grateful for the fun she shares with Shelly.
Episodes In the first episode, Shelly and Kelly meet by chance and are surprised when the other doesn’t swim away. They become fast friends and their adventures begin. Shelly learns what a "thing" is and what it is to be a friend. Future episodes include: Being scared, spending time with the family, fighting gets you nowhere, Kelly's birthday party, the band, lying, trash tea party, a cure for hiccups, loose tooth, and size doesn't matter. Multi-Platform Kids can sing along to new songs that can easily be downloaded online. They can also create their own songs being sung by our characters and create new characters for themselves using a web-platform that guides music and song writing. Interactive, online games will include : The Match Game, Treasure Hunts, Colouring, Spotting the Differences, and puzzles.
